Business Development Managers EMEA

Reporting to: Director Sales & Account Management EMEA

Purpose of the role 
The primary objective of this role is to produce new business sales revenue. The Business Development Manager is accountable for managing all steps within the complex and consultative sales process, from (cold) lead generation to a signed legal agreement with the Merchant. The Business Development Manager has direct revenue and margin responsibility for the assigned region.

In order to support our continued growth, we are currently looking for 3 Business Development Managers.

Deliverables / Tasks
  • Lead generation (Contacting prospects via phone, e-mail, personal, and business networks)
  • Built multi-level decision making relationships with your prospects
  • Consistently deliver revenue towards targets set by sales management
  • Sell Ingenico ePayment’s services within assigned region and/or verticals
  • Negotiate complex commercial and contractual terms
  • Represent the organization at selected industry events
  • Travel consistently (approx. 50%) in the region to conduct face to face meetings
  • Project manage customers as they move through the sales cycle, with a strong focus on reducing time to market
  • Manage expectations of clients and internal stakeholders through clear communication
  • Strong advisory role on e-commerce developments in the region and the vertical market
  • Forecasting to sales management
  • Build out and maintain your pipeline and opportunities accurately in the CRM tool (Salesforce.com)

Background and Experience
  • Academic degree 
  • 5+ years proven new business sales track record in an international and quota carrying B2B sales role
  • B2B consultative sales experience is required
  • Exposure or familiarity with technological and financial concepts
  • Prior experience in the payments industry or SaaS is a plus
  • Sector experience in a key Ingenico vertical market is a plus (travel/retail/digital goods and services)
  • Advanced verbal and written Business English language skills (Must)
  • Preferably multi-lingual (additional language relevant in the region is a plus)
  • Strong mathematical skills (intelligence test will be part of the selection process)
  • Comfortable with Excel and the use of CRM tools/Salesforce
  • Candidates are expected to be conversant in payments and technology and have a solid understanding of the e-commerce landscape
